PLAN TO SAVE THE PLANET
BACKGROUND
It may appear that Western Civilisation is greatly advanced. It has in the last 300 years made a great assault on the natural world. It has cut down much of the ancient forests and set fire to millions more acres. It has ploughed the great savannas of the world, blasted mountains for mines, paved over vast tracts of land for roads, parking lots and buildings, sieved most of the sea of its fish, dammed up most of its rivers – projects of engineering and technological might.
We have entrenched in our constitutions the concept of a human centred world in which natural resources are only for our use, none of which vest any rights in plants animals soil water or air. The authors of these constitutions have always been those with commercial and industrial interests.
We have created immortal entities without any environmental, social, value or moral responsibility – the giant corporations of the planet whose criteria for survival is profit based. Any CEO wishing to temper the corporations activities to lessen the impact on the planet, is kissing himself goodbye since, if this act affects the profits of the company, he is challenging company’s principle law and will be replaced.
These corporations control the planet, manipulating the governments and the media, controlling with economic power that is self invented, creating 3rd world and other debt to hold the world resources to ransom by skilful manipulation of prices.
The mystery is how have these corporations been allowed to leave out the most crucial factor of their production - the cost of what damage they do to communities and the environment ?
The irony of the matter is that these corporations, so accustomed to money based economic common sense, fail to see that, by using the natural resources on a non sustainable basis they are disobeying the primary law of economic survival, which is just as valid with the natural asset base. They are using up the natural resource capital instead of living on natural resource production. In so doing they are self destructing as well as destroying the planet.
In addition the laws of most countries have been drawn up by those bent on entrenching these “advantages”. Indeed, so focused on perpetuating the status quo are they that they infiltrate all the bodies designed to protect the natural resources against them and render them ineffectual as regulatory forces.
Few people on earth understand how the Universe functions and their part in the destruction of the ecosystems that are meant to support our lives, and so even the laws of most countries are inadequate to protect the future of life as we know it on earth.

This future involves the casual destruction of ancient human cultures and biological communities, and the extinction of a shocking number of beings that have co-evolved with us; the wanton destruction of millions of years of earth experience and wisdom recorded in the genetic structures and the complex web of relationships within ecosystems. With the political leaders mostly mere puppets for the large corporations, and the large corporations mindlessly pursuing money, who is to stop the remorseless downward spiral fuelled by most of the money in the world.
We are.
Because the sheer scale of what would have to change and the vested interest that is against it is overwhelming, environmental efforts to date have started from where we are and taken small steps palatable to a blind world – Cut down emissions. Trade carbon credits. Admirable though these efforts may be, they are too little too late.
THE VISION
If anything like the world as we know it is to survive at all, what is needed is radical change as fast as possible. To do this we have to, with immediate effect,
Apply environmental impact fee actually equal to what it would cost to undo the damage done. Give non humans rights not to have their future to exist threatened.
Make every person on earth aware of how the universe functions and how necessary it is to reduce his impact on it.
Change from a consumer to a conserver society.
These actions would throw economies into upheaval that would be most exciting to witness, and we would have a future.
In such a world there would be
- No battery farmed meat
- No chemical agriculture
- No fossil fuel or nuclear energy

No non biodegradable toxins and products

To give people ALL OVER THE WORLD understanding of how the planet functions and encourage them to take back their power and initiate any way of saving the planet that they may have within their own field and capabilities. To show the world a vision of what the world will be like which has a future so that we may begin to break down the mindsets that have led us into disaster and condition people to cooperate with the program to save the world. World Vision for the Planet.
To set up on a small scale and with whatever means are immediately available to start initiating the environmentally sane alternative and make it high profile. Parallel Systems SEE 3. BELOW
To approach corporations to voluntarily pay an environmental impact fee equal to what it will cost to undo the damage they have do. Parallel Systems
To set up a Green Rating Program that rates all economic activities as to how they limit their impact on the environment and to canvas companies to be green rated initially for the exposure, later for tax breaks. To introduce the Green rated symbol on products that were environmentally sane and educate the public to choose it. Green Rating Program SEE 4. BELOW
LEGAL
- To give teeth to the new environmental Act by representing environmentally conscious people in this country, take entities that are threatening the environment and the future to court under the new environmental act and win. To give the court cases high profile and then let other destructive corporations know that they are next.
- To lobby for the introduction of Environmental impact tax to make it prohibitively expensive to damage the environment.
- To lobby for the introduction of an Environmental Chair which would like the Chair of Law be above the government and corporations and have the right to veto any environmentally insane decisions the government makes
- To lobby for the introduction of new laws to protect the environment and to protect the people from corrupt governments acting against the common good and stealing public funds.
- To lobby to change the legal system so that all living and non living entities have rights and that companies cannot determine their own ethical, environmental and social responsibility.
- To lobby for tax relief for Green rated companies dependant on their level of green rating, to motivate environmental responsibility by economic pressure.
ACTION
To begin to set up the environmentally sane systems in South Africa as a pilot for the world. To give the activities high profile.

Whether we get the funding or not, it is essential that these programs take place. Most of the programs take energy and time of dedicated people. Volunteers will be sought, but the progress will be slow if it relies on volunteers only and what time they can give us.
Program 1
WORLD PROGRAM FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
ON SEPTEMBER 11TH 2001 THE TWIN TOWERS OF WORLD TRADE WERE DESTROYED AND IT BEGAN A YEAR OF SENSELESS WAR FUELLED BY THOSE WHO PROMOTE WAR TO SELL WEAPONS, AND GAIN OIL RESSOURCES, A NEGATIVE YEAR OF DESTRUCTION AND HATRED.
ON SEPTEMBER 11TH 2007 THE TWIN TOWERS OF GREED/CONSUMERISM AND ENVIRONMENTAL IGNORANCE/APATHY WILL BE DESTROYED AS IS LAUNCHED A YEAR OF ENLIGHTENMENT, A WORLD COOPERATING IN A PROGRAM TO SAVE THE PLANET

By End September 2007
Newspapers and television will be carrying news of this program , the goal and how it will position South Africa forever in world perspective.
Calls for cooperation offers and funding will be part of the news releases.
Sponsors will be sought to install in remote rural communities communal halls with television and generators where necessary
Television and news will begin to carry profiles of a new team, the country coordinators, who will have so big a task in the 12 months ahead.
World wide film advertisement competitions will be launched for Green ads with a two month lead time for their production. Satellite and other TV stations will begin to receive these advertisements and screen the applicants productions. Some will be entered by Worldwide Africa and the Green Dream Team. These are television commercials about the environmental problems on the planet and the solutions to save the world that will address those problems. These advertisements will be screened through out the ensuing year DSTV throughout Africa and on other satellite stations.
October
An interactive WEB SITE for the Vision Destination of the World Program will be on the net and will be added to over the ensuing months. “This is where we are going” is the theme.
Radio and television and newspapers in each country will begin to feature environmental news that we feed to them and magazine articles about the goal of the Year that Saved the World and begin to explain the global problems that are going to be addressed. This will carry on at least until the end of the Sept 2008 award ceremony/celebration..
Education departments all over the world will work out how to introduce the teacher courses on 2000 days to save the planet, and a sustainable future. They will also plan field trips and events for the pupils as part of the learning process.
Corporates, wealthy individuals and NGOs identified and approached for sponsorship in each country.
Small conference at Monkey Valley Beach Nature Resort in Cape Town simulating the process to be used in brainstorming sessions to find the Vision Destination - in which all participants can contribute. These sessions will also tackle some of the challenges that may be presented to establish what research still seems to need to be done the missing material and research information needed for the solution finding process to be effective. films and film material that must be commissioned or collected for the brain storming sessions to have everything "at their fingertips".
The initiative is then taken to have the research carried out and to find or produce suitable films to bring into the Brain storming sessions leading up to September 2008
Green Rating Program introduced world wide. This rates all economic activities and products as to how they limit their impact on the environment. (see green rating program)
Competitions launched in every country of the world as part of the build up for the vision destination award ceremony ( See list of some of the competitions attached)
One of the competitions is about the design of promotional items for the award week .

- The people of the world that are already doing the most that is impacting towards the saving of the future
Best environmental solutions. Solutions from anyone - many categories especially solutions for situations for people living below the breadline
Most valid research programs
Most powerful films exhorting change of what we are doing to our planet
Most environmentally sane businesses or in the case of businesses that are already involved in businesses that are not environmentally sane - which company is doing the most to change.
Individuals in poor communities who have done the most in teaching and changing the other members of the community ( All this will be filmed- recognition is important)
Individuals and corporations who have most demonstrated sharing what you have - individuals and corporations that have demonstrated this recognised
Individual and organisation for those who have done the most to change the way animals are treated
Individuals and corporations who have most nurtured and fought for the survival of our forests and wildlife.
Inventors of most environmentally sane programs and gadgets
Most successful recycling programs
Most Green rated businesses
Most Green Rated products
The writer of the best songs that embodies the message of the year long program and a sustainable future
The companies that puts forward the best advertising messages for a sustainable future.
The film writers/authors who have made the most impact on the ends of the conference by their film/books
The television channels and radio stations and newspapers and magazines that have managed to introduce the environmental theme into every days broadcasting for the entire year.
The governments that have made not one decision that has not been environmentally sane in the course of the whole year
The town councils who have made the most sweeping changes to the structure of their cities to change what is happening to the world.
The benefactors that have supplied the biggest percentage of their funds to projects to achieve the green sustainable dream,
Reforestation programs that have worked and have most assisted the poor
Litter campaigns that have worked the best.
Poor communities that have most uplifted themselves
"Poor" communities that have the most to offer the world by way of example
Etc. etc.
From then on all contributors working towards these competitions will be featured in media all over the world. Every country will follow the progress of other countries in these competitions via the media.
The task of coordinating and monitoring these will also be newsworthy.

Our 2000 Days to Save the Planet film is shown to all preachers, editors, teachers, etc worldwide through our country coordinators and their colleagues.. Organic food program launched in townships and rural areas. They begin to grow organic food.to feed themselves now, but with the goal of feeding in organic food to the environmental conferences. This program is featured worldwide. A film that has been made for the purpose is shown at trance parties right through the summer in the Southern Hemisphere and all over the world. It plays during the music and is designed to reach young people. Many parties are now called "Save the Planet " parties and some proceeds are promised to the World Summit on Sustainable Development
