Throughout the ages, musicians have seldom been able to make a living out of music. They have always had to rely on wealthy patrons. Yet music is an essential component of life and deserves to have a higher priority
Current ways of earning money through music is to record, sell records overseas and earn royalties if a musician is rated by recording companies. However, live music is still one of the best experiences and to bring people to Africa to experience our music would create income in many sectors of the economy.
A town specialising in country western music n the USA is the highest generator of tourism income in the States. The idea is to make Southern Africa the world equivalent
THE PLAN
Finding the venues already existing - restaurants and pubs to be approached with a view to whether they would take each night or certain nights live music of certain kinds. Cover charge or other arrangement.
Finding the venues proposed - aesthetically pleasing and unusual outdoor places to be chosen for development as live music venues. Catering, drinks and toilet facilities to be provided by the people from within unemployed population as a business of their own (see Real Food Restaurant Chain and African Food restaurant Chain below)
New very aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sane buildings designed for unusual venues. This will require further funding but will be financially viable in their own right.. I have in mind Cave venues, floating venues, old building venues.
Organisation of musical show and gigs with existing musicians
Volunteer professional musicians to go into the population and find a huge range of music and show them how to prepare a program of numbers and how to finish their shows ready for performance. These gigs to be allocated to various venues and transport and equipment to be arranged.
Massive marketing worldwide of these musical programs and venue chains, also using the call of Africa Competition. ( See below)
THE STREET CHILDRENS MUSICAL SHOW:
There are many abandoned children in our country due to aids and poverty. Ideally we would like these children each year to put together a musical show which they perform to tourists over the season. The money from these shows to pay for their lives and education during the year.
It will give the talented amongst them a career and everyone of them can be involved in the scenery, stage management, ticket sales, etc. It will also make the children independent
8. THE CALL OF AFRICA WORLDWIDE COMPETITION
TO MARKET AFRICA AS A TOURIST DESTINATION WORLDWIDE WITHOUT USING SOUTHERN AFRICAN MONEY.
This is a project that involves the unemployed people only in so far as it markets Afrotourism, Ecotourism and Black Music safaris and in that some musicians from the above musical portfolio will play in some of the worldwide concerts.
Background
Africa has long found it difficult to market itself as a tourist destination as the exchange rate makes it impossible to do any significant media programs in the countries with their target markets.
Here is an idea that works for al participants and markets Africa worldwide using the money of the country involved. It promotes environmental concepts, promotes the music of Africa and does a lot for businesses in the country where it is held. Because it can be used for other countries, this idea cannot be disclosed except to interested parties who intend to fund such a concept. This project could be lucrative for the funder.
VII. AFROTOURISM
This is a potentially very lucrative project that could greatly benefit thousands of people in the country, if not millions. It involves taking advantage of the latest trend in travel which is the desire for authentic experiences of the lives of the peoples of the world

Financing for some of the prospective participants

The tourists would not only experience living in African huts, but also African music, African food and restaurants, and participating in African ceremonies. In addition a new range of more rugged venues and sleeping under the stars packages would come onto the market.
6. REAL FOOD RESTAURANT CHAIN
Background
In almost every first world country of the world, including South Africa, traveling by road when one stops for petrol and refreshment there is almost no food value at all in anything one can buy, in fact most of the food is positively toxic though the public is luckily so badly informed about for that they get away with it….even like it.
In addition the profit from all these is always in the hands of the already rich enough chains or franchises.
The places are sterile ugly and an eyesore on the countryside.
Once they have the cooperation of the local media, and have achieved their first task, with the help of their local representatives, they will go for funding from the relevant NGOs, corporations and wealthy individuals within that community. For the entire year, the green dream team will work with their countries
cross pollinating ideas and film and advertising material of how to disseminate the nature of the crisis and possible solutions from one country to the others
gathering newsworthy items relating to solutions and competition progress and footage and relying it to us a head quarters bringing our world renowned figures in at key moments to add impact
introducing the film " 2000 Days to Save the Planet" as soon as it is complete in the relevant languages which will add further impetus to the drive
injecting enthusiasm into the programs at every level acquainting the headquarters of all the progress each country is making in environmental decline and regeneration and of newsworthy figures from all levels of life.
IN MARCH FURTHER IMPETUS WILL BE GIVEN BY THE INTRODUCTION AT ALL TRADE FAIRS AND EXHIBITIONS IN THAT COUNTRY OF THE SOUTHERN AFRICAN FOOD HALL
This is a seven screen production ( a month from completion) which will serve South African Food and wines at every boat show, trade show, computer fair etc within a darkened area wherein people eat and drink. This exciting 20 minute film repeats. By March we will have further footage to make showing the things that are happening in the world and at the end taking the viewer in to a virtual reality experience of some of the 2000 Days to Save the Planet
The 2000 Days To Dave The Planet Course in the game reserves and marine environment of this beautiful country. Anyone will be able to enroll for this course as a paying guest. knowing that the profit from their attendance will put Previously Disadvantaged People in South Africa through a less expensive version of the same course. .
Governments of each country will be invited to experience the seven screen production at a private showing and be treated to South African Food and wine and music.

Discovery channel type episodes
Government by the people - government of the country by a television viewers parliament. The issues to be tackled are also contributed by the viewer. Viewers contribute by phoning in and they are filmed/ recorded adding their point of view to the debate. Footage illustrating their comments will be used as far as possible.
At the outset, impartial facilitators are chosen by the viewers and the Green Team will then prepare a television cv of each and then the facilitators will be chosen by viewer telephone/ email in vote. At the end of the debate on any issue, facilitators will prepare a short 5 question multiple choice voting slip and then the final vote question. Viewers will answer on computers over a period.
The results of the viewer decisions will be given to the government to implement.
Government by the people could also run parallel debates to ones being aired in parliament.
